One of the families affected

The Blanton Family was one of thousands of families displaced by the floods September 21. Their home was destroyed when as much as 6 feet of water settled inside it after the heavy rains drove Sweetwater Creek dozens of feet over its banks. The muddy water ruined about 85% of their belongings. Like most people affected, they didn't have flood insurance. What do people do? How do people recover? There is hope!

About the Ruby Slipper Project

The Ruby Slipper Project is an organization that provides mini-extreme home makeovers to deserving individuals and families.

This organization has committed to helping several of those families affected by the flood.
