THE "PERSONAL GUARDIAN"

In times of uncertainty the guardian comes to inform and heal. The gallery is pleased to display original hand built sculptural works in clay representing the theme of the Personal Guardian. The animal and human narrative forms were created by advanced students studying with renowned clay artists Debra Fritts in the ongoing program at Roswell Art Center West, Roswell Parks and Recreation. The "Personal Guardian" sculptures depict a deeply held ethos of each artist yet at the same time each conveys universal truths and the collective spirit. These sentinels of the psyche come to teach, comfort, challenge and protect.
